0.5.605

The Forum and Messages now open in their own window: an envelope button sits on the right toolbar just above the events button, and the window can be dragged and resized like the chart settings. "What's new" behind the globe keeps the posts and patch notes only. Boards, threads, replies, search and moderation work as before; a two-column layout for boards and conversations follows in the next release.

While any dialog with a dimmed background was open, the browser build allocated a fresh drawing surface on every frame and never gave it back; a long session with a dialog open could grow the tab to several gigabytes. One surface is reused now.

Desktop: your message identity is derived from your vault, so there is nothing to publish or remember; the Messages tab shows conversations as soon as the vault is open.
